As a homeschool family, you need to be sure you are legally protected in the case that someone makes a false claim against you and your family, whether it be a local school claiming truancy or an angry family member/neighbor making a claim of abuse or neglect.

After a family joins HSLDA, there are no further charges of any kind for defending them in court. HSLDA pays in full all attorney fees, expert witness fees, court transcript cost, travel expenses, and all other court costs permissible by state law for us to pay.
