Melody's Dance Schedule for 2007/2008

This will be Melody's 7th year to teach Christian-based Ballet. Classes are kept small for quality instruction. Costuming is modest and Christian and Classical music is used. About the teachers:

Melody Kiyak - Dancing since age 6. Seven years of teaching experience in her own studios and also at The Dance Factory in Athens. Winner of many Dance Educators of America awards. Choreographed dances and directed her own recitals including - "Creation", "The Great Flood", "Out of Bondage", and “Praise Him All Ye Nations”.
David Kiyak - Eleven years dance experience from The Dance Factory in Athens, Briarwood Ballet, Pointe Station Junior Company, Community Ballet, Ballet Magnificat. Current Huntsville Ballet Company member. Winner of numerous awards and scholarships. Two years teaching experience in ballet and modern/lyrical

Mondays at the Athens Rec. Center:

3:00-3:45 - Tap (beginners ages 7 & up)

3:45-4:30 - Pointe (by placement only) Students must also take ballet III or higher in addition to Pointe.

4:30-5:30 - Technique (ages 11 & up) Please contact Melody for more information on this class.

5:30-6:30 - Adult ballet

Tuesdays at the Athens Rec. Center:

3:00-3:45 - Pre-ballet (ages 4-5)

3:45-4:30 - Ballet I (ages 6-7)

4:30-5:30 - Ballet II (ages 8 & up with previous experience or older beginning students)

5:30-6:30 - Ballet III (by placement only)

Thursdays at the North Alabama Seibukan Karate School in Harvest:

10:15-11:00 – Pre-ballet (ages 4-6)

11:30-12:30 – Modern (ages 11 & up. Taught by David Kiyak)

12:30-1:30 – Ballet IV (by placement only)

1:30-2:15 – Pointe (by placement only) Students must also take ballet III or higher in addition to Pointe.

2:15-3:00 – Ballet I (ages 7-8 )

3:00-4:00 – Ballet II (ages 9 & up with previous experience or older beginning students)

4:00-5:00 – Ballet III (by placement only)

Costs (total number of classes per family)

1 class per week- $30.00 per month

2 classes per week- $50.00 per month

3 classes per week - $65.00 per month

4 classes per week - $85.00 per month

5 or more (unlimited) - $100.00 per month

There is a $10.00 registration fee per family. Please contact Melody if you would like a registration form. The registration fee will guarantee your place in the class. This is based on a first come, first serve basis.
